About the Senior School
MISSION STATEMENT
The Wykeham Collegiate is an Independent Christian School for Girls.

It aims:

  • To develop each girl to her potential in academic, sporting, cultural, social, emotional and spiritual spheres.
  • To offer a broad, value-based curriculum to facilitate choice and to cater for differing interests, aptitudes and abilities.
  • To be in the forefront of educational initiative in order to enable young women to transfer confidently into the world outside school.
  • To celebrate differences and diversity in a multi-cultural society.
  • To encourage young women to think critically and creatively.


The Wykeham Collegiate is very proud of our Grade 12 Class

of 2009 who achieved exceptional results

in the FET Senior Certificate Examinations of the IEB

 

Our 59 girls achieved a 100% pass rate and a total of 119 distinctions.

 

The top achievers were:

 

8 distinctions   Gillian Greene, Ceridwen Salisbury and Gabriella Whalley

7 distinctions   Lara Williams, Kelsey Tratschler and Mimi Lin

6 distinctions   Bridget Edmonds and Philippa Stone

5 distinctions   Cathryn Calitz, Nadia Junge and Catherine Marcus

4 distinctions   Thea de Gruchy, Bethany Lang, Catherine McIntosh and Vukile Themba

 

Four girls achieved 3 A’s, five scored 2 A’s and a further thirteen each earned one A.

 

Of the 59 girls, 58 achieved results allowing them to qualify for entrance to Bachelor Degrees, and one for Higher Certificate courses at tertiary institutions.
